Skiing Rules and Guidelines
LaPoint Ski Park QR to Release
What are the starting procedures?
Skiers must pull out to the right from the start dock and to the left at the far end. Always let go at both ends of the lake and ski within 20 feet of the shore.
How do the gates work?
The pre-gates are marked in green, entrance gates in red, and exit gates in yellow. Ignore the yellow gates when starting the course; focus on the green pre-gates.
What should I do when exiting the course?
When exiting at the far end, stay behind the boat until the driver signals you to pull out. This ensures safety for all skiers.
How do I return after my run?
After your run, ski back and head into the first dock. This helps maintain order and safety on the water.
What should I know about the boat's path?
As you approach from the far end, the boat will follow the shoreline closely and make a sharp left turn. Be on the left side of the wake during this maneuver.
Is there a release form required?
Yes, all skiers must sign a LaPoint Ski Park release form before skiing. This is a necessary step to ensure everyone's safety.
